Azienda Agricola Fabio de Beaumont 'Don Fa', 500ml
Fabio de Beaumont, a young winemaker with deep family roots, swapped his law school life in Rome for the vineyards of Irpinia at around 30. Growing up in Campania, he returned to help his father and grandmother farm their 2 hectares of vineyards. In 2014, Fabio and his family started crafting their cherry leaf-infused liqueur, "Don Fa," named after his grandfather, and a black walnut liqueur, “Fra Amedeo,” inspired by a recipe passed down from the Franciscan friars. Now, with the whole family pitching in, Fabio produces around 2,000 bottles of Don Fa each year from organic vines that are up to 200 years old.
The Don Fa’ wine liqueur uses organic Aglianico and Barbera grapes, flavored with sour cherry leaves, aged for a year, and fortified with sugar and alcohol. The Fra’ Amedeo walnut liqueur is made by infusing walnut husks with alcohol, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, then aged in glass and steel before being bottled without filtration.
