2025 Lardot 'Kontakt' Pinot Noir, 750ml

The 'Kontakt' Red is an iridescent, effusive pinot noir coming from the slopes of the breathtaking Mosel Valley made by the talented young, Philip and Rosalie Lardot. 

You might already know how much we are excited about pinot noir from Germany. One of the things that makes this wine incredibly special is that it’s tended to by the unparalleled patient work of the Lardots in the vineyard and cellar. The Mosel has for a century been known for its white wine but surprisingly in the last 5-10 years, those that are close to this region began to notice the increasing quality of the pinot noir grown and made there. The growth in popularity has been so recent that many people will still tell you only great white wine can be made there.

This wine, ‘Kontakt’ is pinot noir that is fermented semi-carbonically (a fermentation technique using whole, intact berries) and then aged in a barrel for 7 months. It’s a wine that will refresh, revive and invigorate you like a late crisp, autumnal breeze.
