2023 Jonas Dostert Chardonnay, 750ml

Compared to previous years, the Chardonnay from 2023 has a minimal amount of new wood (around 10%). The barrel in question had a very distinctive, reductive note that still characterises the wine somewhat. New wood as a stylistic device actually contradicts my approach. In this case, however, I find the result very harmonious. It's just one of nine barrels that was used for the  first time. - Jonas Dostert
