Ultimately Floral Terranes is a agricultural preservation project that not only highlights the potential for Long Island as a maritime climate producing region for both apples and grapes through our ciders and wines but also serves as a project that is deeply indebted to the past, present and future of saving genetic diversity of plant material we’ve found and saved over the years.

Floral Terranes has always been driven to highlight the importance of historic preservation through finding fruit trees that we can potentially grow ourselves one day through years of fruit exploring here on Long Island as well as talking about the agricultural changes in landscape of Long Island and how it’s greatly impacted the environment that we both spent our lives living on.

The goal of Floral Terranes was never about making cider and wine as a commodity or a business decision to make ciders and wines for a market; it was to make ciders and wines we want to drink and share with our friends and family.
