2020 Vollenweider Riesling Goldgrube Aurum, 750ml

This is sourced from the greatest parcel in the Goldgrube, directly around the sign – there’s a sort of rocky cliff / bluff area there, with a tiny part with super old vines – all 90-100+ ungrafted. the wine is made in the same technique as most of Daniel’s wines… so slow cool fermentation, stainless steel, longer elevage, bottling, etc.  This is his top bottling, he was only able to get this parcel in 2016. Bone dry, loads and loads of herbs and smoke and camphor and power, but not hot. -vB
