2023 Markus Altenburger 'Vom Kalk' Blaufrankisch, 750ml

100% Blaufränkisch- This wine is a blend of grapes from seven Leithaberg DAC plots, featuring vines up to 40 years old on limestone and chalky loam soils. Dry-farmed and certified organic, the grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and macerated as whole berries for seven days. Spontaneously fermented and aged in stainless steel and neutral barrel for 9 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with minimal sulfites added.

Extremely fun and drinkable, with sappy cherry flavors balanced by depth and intense fruit.
