2022 Makaridze Aladasturi Rosé, 750ml

The Makaridze family is based in Imereti, and has been producing wine commercially for 5 generations. The winery is managed today by Gogita and his wife, Keto. They are only working with indigenous varieties that are dry farmed. Made from 100% aladasturi grapes fermented and aged in qvevri.

"Aladasturi is a thin-skinned, big-berried grape that when made into a red wine reminds me of Georgian poulsard....Here it's direct press, fermented and aged in qvevri for 5 months and bottled without filtration or added SO2. 500 bottles"
