2024 L'Ame Bleue 'Meharee' VdF Red, 750ml

From the Importer - "Méharée, which in French, evokes images of long expeditions in the desert on camelback, is a nod to Perrine’s journey from north of the Loire all the way south to the Roussillon, which she has called home since 2020. A blend of Syrah from 10 year-old vines planted on clay- limestone soils (50%) and Grenache Noir (30%) and Carignan (20%) from 80 yo goblet-trained vines rooted in limestone bedrock." 

First passing of Syrah is direct-pressed, the second passing is de-stemmed and sees six days of maceration. The Grenache and Carignan are harvested later, and fermented separately.
