2021 Kontozisis 'Innocent Dove', 750ml

Kontozisis is run by Andreas Kontozisis and his partner Aphrodite Tousia. The winery has been organic since 1991, one of the first to be certified in the area. All of the grapes are hand harvested, no commercial yeast used during winemaking, no press/only free run juice. They are located in Kardista, the biking capital of Greece where most residents bike as their main form of transportation. Innocent dove is a blend of merlot, and the red Greek varietal Xinomavro. Black cherry, soft wood, and soft leather. Juicy, dry, chillable. Reminds us of French reds from Rhone Valley, or even Bordeaux but juicier.
