2023 Cara Sur Criolla Chica, 750ml

This Criolla Chica comes from three tiny parcels of 80-year-old vines in the remote Calingasta Valley. About 70% of the grapes are destemmed, the rest go in whole cluster, and everything ferments naturally in concrete eggs before aging there for eight months. The wine is pale and super fresh, with bright strawberry and pomegranate fruit, a little herbal and earthy edge, and a whisper of rose petal. The tannins are fine but snappy, giving it a savory, mineral kick that keeps it lifted and clean.
