2022 Canopus Malbec de Sed, 750ml

91% Malbec 9% Chardonnay Uco Valley, Mendoza Argentina- This fresh, beautifully structured Malbec is light on its feet with great acidity and well-defined fruit. A steal at the price, it's organically farmed in the calcareous soils of the Uco Valley. The grapes were harvested by hand a bit earlier than the rest of the Malbec at the estate, fermented in concrete vats. The Chardonnay was fermented separately and blended with the Malbec later on. The wine was then raised for 9 months in concrete tanks, and bottled without fining or filtering and with only a small addition of sulfur at bottling. - JPS
