Familie Bauer is a family run operation, run solely by the 5 Bauers. They sustainably farms 17 hectares in the Wagram district of Lower Austria (Niederösterreich), where they produce a variety of top shelf wines in addition to their everday liters!

From their vineyards in the Grossriedenthal, the grapes are hand-harvested at the end of September, vineyard sorted, de-stemmed and spend about six hours on the skins before fermentation with ambient yeasts in stainless steel lasting two weeks. Rested on lees until end of January and aged in stainless steel for six months.

Light rose with great acidity and a completely dry finish. Good notes of tart raspberry and pink citron. All Zweigelt, the main red grape of Austria that is used for both dry red and dry rosé wines. The grapes for this wine are sourced from several of the family’s vineyards and are aged 10-40 years. The wine is not technically vintaged as they sometimes blend different year’s harvests.
